A big loss
It has been 3 days, and I'm still seeing you in everything I came across. You have been a beautiful angel with a pure heart and soul, that I have never seen in anyone before. You are one of the kindest people I have ever known. Your voice, your smile, everything about you makes me miss you even more as the days go by.
Asma', you're other than kak Zirah the only people who called me by the name Jijo. It has been a year since I last wrote something here. But I figured that I needed to let all my feelings somewhere, not social media. Somewhere that I know people wouldn't read this. So here it goes. My a - year - later post. It is about you, I really do miss you. Little did I know that late night chit chat with you was our last one. I still keep you voice notes, in case I needed to hear them later. I miss you, I really do.

Starting anew
Assalamualaikum,
I think it's best for me to start writing again as there have been a few events signalling that blogging might be a good idea for me. Let me start by telling you readers what are the events :P
1) Last 2 days, as a committee member of an event, (SOUL 2.0) I was supposed to write a short post on neighbours on the Facebook page of this programme since it was my bureau turn to do, so this ikhwah (a term for male) asked me to do so on behalf of our committee so I said yes why not since I had just finished my practical exam the evening before.
So I started Google-ing about neighbours, looking for any good articles to be posted on the page. But then when I saw the posts made by others bureaus days before, I found that they actually created the post, not simply copying and pasting them on the page. So I challenged myself, why not? Why can they and why can't you? Finally I decided to COMPOSE my own post, based on my own experience.
Hours lated I found myself still struggling looking for ideas on what to post -_- clocks were ticking and I had to get it done on THAT very day. Finally I posted about how my childhood revolved around my neighbours and how the neighbourhood spirit slowly vanishes as we grow up, and I got them done for about 50 minutes as I was writing an ESSAY instead of a short post. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO STOP? Bear in mind, don't ever stop me when I start writing XD
2) Winter break has just started and I am terribly bored spending time at home AWAY FROM FAMILY :'( 2 housemates are away enjoying their winter break while the other members of this house are busy with their own holiday activities so I am all alone most of the time and the only thing I found myself doing is writing a Facebook status & almost tweeting a tweet and before I even post them I found myself deleting all the words later, because I was afraid of being judged for telling everyone every single thing about my life, as I always do, astaghfirullah.
I know Mom and other family members would be ready to hear me out, but this time zone difference makes everything harder. While I am about to settle things down, they are already sleeping in Malaysia. While I'm sleeping, that's when they're most active. But hey whenever I got the chance to talk to them, I would pour everything out. Even the slightest, smallest little thing.
But you got the point right? I am turning this blog into a diary as I can never tell every single thing to anyone I like. Of course no doubt Allah would be there to hear every single thing I pour out, but I just feel the need to record things so that I will be able to read them again someday :D
So nah that's my post for today, MB is running out of battery, so Assalamualaikum everyone :D
May Allah bless us always ;)

Shell Scholarship Interview for year 2014
Hello,
Yup, this is my first post and I'm writing this specially for those who are like me or will be like me, desperately looking for any possible tips/info on Shell Scholarship Interview. I am an applicant for the Overseas programme for the year 2014 and has undergone the 1st stage of the interview which is; the phone interview.
So last week I got a missed call from an unknown number, by which I missed because I didn't hear that my phone was ringing. I called the number back and I was really surprised that someone from Shell is on the line. I was surprised particularly because I've waited for so long and nearly give up on the scholarship. Then this person said that she called to arrange the phone interview with me, so we decided to have it on last 2 days.
As promised she called me and tell me the details about the interview.
Right, what are the questions? Are they nice/friendly? Will the questions be tough?
Ahaa! Those were the questions that played in my mind before I was interviewed. I am grateful, thankful and would like to give a huge thank you to those who blogged, commented or giving any kind of help regarding the scholarship! Your posts helped me in preparing myself for the interview.
Basically the interview is divided to 3 parts;
1) Your greatest achievement; what is it, what are the obstacles you faced to achieve it, how did you overcome the obstacles etc.
2) How I learn adapting to changes (1 most obvious change in life); what is it, why is it the most obvious change, what did you learn about yourself from the changes
3) Motivations; why this course? why this university? what do you know about the course?
The interviewer will be writing down all the important points from the interview, so occasionally he/she will ask us to hold on and this is where the situation got awkward!
But there's nothing to be afraid of, as the interviewer will make you feel comfortable all the time, as for me lah. Eheheh. Just stay calm and try your best to answer their questions. Be confident, answer truthfully and most important is never forget to pray to God so He will make everything easy, InshaAllah.
Before we ended she asked me whether I have questions to ask and told me that if I succeed to the next stage, I'll get an e-mail from Shell on the details for the 2nd stage interview.
Hopefully this post will help you guys out there who have been/are looking for tips for the scholarship day and night.
May we all pass the interviews and get the scholarship to achieve our dreams, Ameen.
